Culturally Responsive Teaching is an approach to teaching that can be useful for reflecting on how culture affects teaching and how to improve practices. CRT asks teachers to create classrooms that reflect their children’s communities and cultures. It also encourages teachers to ask critical questions about behavior and discipline. This might include asking questions about who sets rules, why they set them, and what the rules are for. This guide shares many of principles of Culturally Responsive Teaching.
