Appropriate transitions

Appropriate transitions refer to a set of criteria that should be followed when planning and implementing transitions. These criteria include:

    • Limiting the number of transitions
    • Providing whole-class transition warnings
    • Providing individual transition warnings as needed
    • Minimizing wait time
    • Using transition songs or other strategies to ensure active engagement in transitions
